Developing and evolving Vietnamese agriculture
From north to south, Vietnam spans a wide range of latitudes, allowing for a variety of climatic areas which are utilized to cultivate various agricultural products. Crops are mainly grown in the fertile deltas of the Mekong River (in the south) and the Red River (in the north).
Vietnam’s agriculture is characterized by the large percentage of agricultural land relative to the rest of the country as well as its abundant water resources, which derive from the country’s numerous rivers, including the Mekong river.
The hardworking and handy Vietnamese people are also an important source of labor. Vietnam’s proximity to Japan has led to the proliferation of Japanese technical guidance, and the country exports many products that are similar in quality to Japanese products.
