2018.07.30
Though it seems like a complicated chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg custard) that would require a steamer, this is a recipe that can be easily made using a microwave. The only ingredient is fava beans, allowing you to fully enjoy the natural flavors of the ingredients. (Ingredients for two people)
Veggie Maria Fava Beans | 60g |
A Egg | 2 |
A Water | 150cc |
A Japanese soup stock | Tsp 1/2 |
A Soy Sauce | Tsp 1/2 |
A Sweet cooking sake | Tsp 1/2 |
Preparation
- Microwave the frozen fava beans and peel them, setting aside some for garnish. Mix all of A thoroughly.
- Divide the broad beans into two containers, and strain the mixed A into the containers.
- Cover the containers loosely with wrap and microwave at 200 watts for about 7-9 minutes. Garnish with the reserved fava beans.
